Ty Jones

Ty Began his Automotive Career in 1996 as a production supervisor with Johnson controls Inc. He was promoted to the material planning team on which he managed to supply all non- NAFTA suppliers. He served as the materials lead for the critical supplier Kaizen team focusing on elimination of supply chain interruptions. Jones achieved his Six Sigma Black Belt certification through Johnson Controls, Inc. in August 2001. Tyrone joined the ARD Logistics team in 2001serving as the Site operations Manager for the newly launched Vance, AL JIT sequence center. In 2005 Ty was promoted to Business Unit Manager to help lead the development of the ARD Government Business Unit. In this role Ty utilized his Critical Supply expertise to help the US Marine Corp launch a Worldwide Support system for the Combat Camera Expeditionary Force. In 2007, Ty left ARD to pursue a career in Supply chain Consulting. During this time Ty launched 3 businesses in the transportation and supply chain management arenas.

In 2016, Ty returned to ARD Logistics as Business Unit Manager. Since that time he has held the position of Continuous Improvement Manager, General Manager with client site responsibility supporting Mercedes Benz U.S . International and Director of Operations. Throughout his career, Jones has focused on supplier development, critical supply support management, and supply chain design, analysis, and improvement. Tyrone is alumnus of the University of Alabama with a degree in business Administration and a minor in Chemistry. He is married with 3 sons. He spends his spare time attending various sporting events and community activities.
